Obrt Silva is a family business that produces and wholesales fresh fruit and vegetables.
We produce varieties of fruits and vegetables, but our main focus is on the production of tangerines, strawberries, watermelons and cabbage. We cooperate with numerous farmers from the Neretva valley and domestic and foreign buyers.
Obrt Silva was founded in 2003 by Gradimir Šešelj.
The new headquarters of the company is in the Business Zone (Poduzetnička zona) in Opuzen. There is a facility for storage, cooling, classification and packaging of products, the construction supported by EU funds.
The project "Construction of a facility for storage, cooling, cleaning, drying, freezing, grading and packaging of products from our own primary agricultural production with associated equipment and infrastructure" was co-financed from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development within measure 4 Investments into physical assets and operations 4.1.1 Restructuring, modernization and increasing the competitiveness of agricultural holdings.
As part of the project, the following investments were made:

a facility was built for storage, cooling, cleaning, drying, freezing, grading and packaging of agricultural products with a gross area of 1,686.25 m2,

acquired two forklifts, two manual pallet trucks, two commercial delivery vehicles, a tractor, a tractor tiller,
-
acquired mandarin sorting line (calibrator), machine for soaking mandarins, pallet scale, high-pressure washer, dry-wet vacuum cleaner, manual device for tensioning with PP tape,

office and kitchen furnishing,
-
design and consulting costs.
The total amount of the project was HRK 11,595,565.14, of which the eligible investment was HRK 10,802,105.20, and the total grant amount was HRK 5,401,052.60.
The project was started in the middle of 2020, and finished in the beginning of 2023. For our company, the project will contribute significantly to the modernization of production, increase in capacity and quality of products, reduction of waste and energy savings, and will result in at least 2 new employees.
